Guanyi Aviation is a leading private enterprise in China specializing in development of general aviation aircraft. It has an experienced and internationalized aircraft development team with over 16 years of aircraft R&D experience. The company has mastered the core technologies and expertise required for the development of civil aircraft with below 19 seats, covering all disciplines including overall aircraft design, aerodynamics, propulsion, strength, structure, avionics, electrical systems, testing and flight testing, and airworthiness. It has become a well-regarded general aviation aircraft developer in China.

Its first independently developed model, the GA20 — a single-engine, four-seat, fixed-wing aircraft — obtained the CAAC CCAR-23 Normal Category Type Certificate on December 2, 2024.

The company's R&D team is an international technical group formed by French experts and local engineers. It brings together top-tier aircraft development specialists, including senior experts and test pilots from globally renowned aerospace companies such as Airbus and Dassault Aviation. The domestic team comprises aviation specialists with extensive experience in civil aircraft development, many of whom are graduates of prestigious institutions such as the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich), ISAE–SUPAERO (France), Georgia Institute of Technology (USA), Beihang University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Northwestern Polytechnical University.
